Who is Mojtaba Khamenei?
Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei was born in 1969 in Mashhad, Iran. He is the son of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
He studied and later taught in the Islamic seminary of Qom, where he led advanced courses in Islamic jurisprudence.
In March 2026 he became the third Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. His first written message as Leader was published on 12 March 2026.
